Our Massage Techniques

Therapeutic & Deep Tissue Massage

Our therapeutic and deep tissue massages are effective for treating severe acute pain and chronic health issues. Techniques include Neuromuscular facilitation, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, PNF stretching, facial release as well as proper education on at home, pre/post event stretching and postural awareness.

Prenatal & Postnatal Massage

Our pregnancy massages are a wonderful way to relax and, at the same time, help treat such conditions related to pregnancy as:

  • Sciatic pain
  • Sacral ligament strains
  • Hip discomforts
  • Chronic and acute low back pain
  • Remove excess fluid retention
  • and much more…

Postnatal treatments help relax tense muscles used to aid in childbirth as well as breastfeeding. Both treatments can be either therapeutic or for relaxation purposes.

Relaxation Massage

Using a variety of Swedish techniques, relaxation massage is the most complete treatment offered. This massage includes areas such as the feet, hands, scalp and face. It has been proven to increase circulation, lower stress levels and overall improve the natural function of the body and mind.

Cupping

Cupping is an extraordinary technique that has been passed down for thousands of years. Therapeutic or myofascial cupping is a suction technique designed to pull toxin build up and muscle spasm from the body’s deeper tissue to the surface of the skin.

Get To Know Amber Van Elgort, RMT

ambervanI moved to Spruce Grove 2 years ago, from Edmonton where I completed my Advanced Massage Therapy program in 2014 from CDI college. Before that I lived on Vancouver island for 17 years and originally am from California. I officially became a Canadian citizen in 2007.

I have 3 beautiful children . My oldest are young teenage twins and my youngest son is 1.  We are a very active family and are busy with air cadets and baseball. We love to go camping, swimming, and take walks and bike rides in the summer.

I have gone to college and university as well as worked in the hospitality, retail and construction industries over the years and decided a few years ago to follow my dreams of working in the intriguing world of holistic health practices and became an RMT.

I am excited and am always looking forward to learning new and different modalities to add to my credentials and to benefit my clients. I have completed an Advanced Orthopedic Massage Certification as well and integrate the techniques into my treatments.

I am pleased to join the health care team at 360 wellness and I look forward to meeting you too!

Amber Van was great. Very knowledgeable and made me feel much better. Will be back.David M.

Meet Adele Lavoie, RMT

adeleI grew up in a small French community just outside of Peace River, Alberta. I have always loved camping come summertime! I also enjoy spending quality time with friends and family which comes from growing up in a family of 6 kids (4 boys, 2 girls). I moved to Edmonton in 2012 to pursue the Aesthetics program at the Alberta Academy of Aesthetics, then came to the realization I wanted to expand my knowledge in the massage industry. This led me to enrol in the Massage Therapy program at Makami College in 2013.

After working in a Spa in Sherwood Park performing massages along with aesthetics, I then moved back to Peace River to practise in a Physiotherapy clinic alongside like-minded professionals. Now with over 3 years experience, I look forward to working with a new team of professionals and continually expanding my knowledge at 360 Wellness.

Get to Know Dean Landstad, RMT

Spruce Grove massage therapist, Dean Landstad.“I grew up on a cattle ranch in BC and am the youngest of 7 (4 sisters and 2 bothers). I lived in Vancouver for 25 years and I have 2 beautiful daughters, Khalia and Matina. I love to spend time outdoors, running, hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, skating. I also loved to spend time with my church, family and friends – especially enjoy volunteering in the community. Having had my own business for 17 years I have been able to wear a lot of hats… I am eager to listen and learn new things and enjoy working with highly motivated purpose driven colleagues. I am still highly involved in my graphic design profession as a freelance/contractor, working on a number of marketing projects at any given time.”

I have seen Dean in the past and find him to be an excellent massage therapist. I saw him in Edmonton and made the decision to follow him to Spruce Grove. Marilyn N.
